For me this was an information-packed book that I had to read slowly and carefully to fully appreciate. The branches provide sleeping sites for some lemurs. Weyerhauser Corporation provides a good example of logging concession politics in this region at this time. World Land Trust is an international conservation charity that takes direct action to save rainforest and other wildlife habitats. As a result, the organization has a contract with an artisan to construct stoves that allow more space for bamboo combustion, although they are still in the experimental stages of the process.
