Valves are original with good compression. Locally played in Los Angeles by one of the first call studio hornists, this one is a good one. $3600 with case. sold Early 1930s production, this is a rare model 8 trombone from the New York years. Similar to the AC550BHR except this model (a) has a dual bore slide and (b) includes the ability to tune the second valve to either G or G-flat (for D or E-Flat overall). It is in most excellent condition and is ready to be put to work.

This model was designed to evoke the Mt Vernon era trumpets. Bauhaus-Walstein closed-wrap 502-CW-D Dual-bore Bb/F trombone - beginner to intermediate trombone players. The 300 series bells are still handspun with wire reinforced rims, a method used in the manufacture of Getzen professional trumpet and trombone bells. The bell flare is around 10" and the bore is smaller, taking a standard small shank trombone mouthpiece. With the right mouthpiece, I think it would work very well.

It has had some custom work done to it to improve it's playing characteristics and make the horn more even. Also, some sloppy soldering on the slide crook. Otherwise she plays well and is in very good condition. Includes a Bam Softpak case. $2800 SOLD Shires axial (Thayer) valve F attachment section. Randall Hawes began his relationship as lecturer at Northwestern University Bienen School of Music in 2004. It was converted to a thayer sometime in the early 1990s.

The bore is usually around .450′′ and the bell is the size of a trumpet bell, and the slide often only have six positions. These are cool horns and this one is in very good original condition with the case. $600 Four valved non compensating euphonium with removable bell. This horn has a one piece beryllium Minick bell, custom Minick open wrap valve, Elkhart 88H slide with removable leadpipe and straight neck pipe. It appears that Grinnell Brothers was a Detroit music store chain known for making good upright pianos - in the mid-1970s most of the practice room pianos were Grinnells at Michigan State University.
