FAQ

  • Ballard Reunion FAQ
  • 1. What time is the tour of Ballard on Friday?

We will meet at Ballard at 6 pm. It will be a very casual self-guided tour pointing out the old and the new of our Alma Mater.
  • 2. What should I wear?

Friday night is all about comfort. It's casual. It's Captain's Quarters. Anything goes. Just be prepared for the weather changes on the river. It might be wise to pack a sweater. Saturday night at the Boat Club is business casual. Respect the history of the Boat Club but realize you might just be dancing the night away. We did tell Frank Buster that Saturdaywas "Farm Animal Costume Night". Please don't tell him otherwise
  • 3. What is the schedule for the two evenings?

Friday night begins at 7 pm. We will have appetizers set and bartenders at the ready. Drop in, take a walk, it's your evening. Just the way you like it. Saturday night begins at 7 pm with food stations set up to enhance your mingling. There will be no assigned tables or prolonged dinner hours. Come dine, move around, talk, enjoy. Tom Browning and his band begin at 8:30. Let the music and the night wash over you and carry you away. For more information please see the General Information box below.
  • 4. Can my spouse attend both nights?

Absolutely. We prefer it that way. Our goal is to make your family members feel included not excluded. We are striving to make this reunion a mini-vacation for you and those you love.
  • 5. If I'm coming from out-of-town where can I stay?

The Hilton Garden Inn at The Summit has reserved a block of rooms for us at a discount. Please call 502-423-0018 for reservations.
  • 6. Where can I obtain contact information about my classmates?

All names, addresses, phone numbers and emails will be collected and, if we have your permission, be sent out immediately following the reunion in a PDF file ready to download or print.
  • 7. Will there be a photographer?

We have arranged for a photographer to shoot a group photo of us just prior to the music and dancing. These photos will be available from the photographer.
  • 8. How many of the Louisville Stoneware "Ballard Class of 1973" mugs will there be for sale?

Due to the very special nature of these limited-run mugs we will most likely sell out. This is why it is so very important to send in your registration now. By doing so you will guarantee yourself one of these mementos.
  • 9. How can I help?

The most important thing you can do is attend. The arrangements we have made are all predicated on a certain number of people attending. Registering early allows the Committee to focus on the details that will make this reunion one to remember. Ask your friends to attend. Plan on meeting them there. The more the merrier and certainly the more classmates that attend the more memories generated for all. Pour over the "Lost List" we sent you.Helping find those classmates and getting the word out is huge in the scope of things. Your phone call or Facebook invite to them might just find them and get them to the reunion.
  • 10. What is the deadline for my registration?

Fill out the registration form today and mail it in. The form needs to be dispatched by Monday, September 16, 2013. Anyone that needs to register after that time may certainly do so but will need to contact us by email or phone so that we may alert the caterers as to the changing numbers. Please know that by doing this now you help us in our planning.
  • 11. What do I do now?

Locate the Ticket Order Form button on the menu. Download the ticket to your computer. Then just print it and send it. It's that easy.
