General Information

The date of the Reunion is September 27th and 28th. Friday night begins with a tour of our own Ballard High School at 6 pm. Come and reminisce as we walk the halls and try to answer the questions “Why are the lockers smaller and why am I so much bigger?” and “Did I really go here?”.

Post-tour we will adjourn to Captain’s Quarters where from 7 pm until 11 pm we enjoy sumptuous appetizers, delicious beverages, and your company. As per tradition Friday night is a more casual night meant to provide time to catch up on the lives of our old friends. We have reserved the Veranda Room and, if it is a beautiful September evening, we may stroll out to the great lawn and watch the river as we reconnect and recreate.

Saturday night finds us at the Louisville Boat Club. Beginning at 7 pm we will enjoy wonderful food from the many food stations the Chef has prepared specially for us. Dance the night away to the music of our very own Tom Browning who has been leading the Louisville music scene since we last departed Ballard. Thankfully some things don’t change and Tom’s talent and passion for his music prove that. The perfect place , the perfect music, and the perfect crowd!

To commemorate this occasion Louisville Stoneware has been chosen to produce a very special 14 ounce coffee/tea mug that wears the Ballard Crest on one side with “Ballard High School Class of 1973″ on the other. These mugs are iconic and the perfect keepsake of this celebratory weekend. The production of these are limited so please order yours early.

Frank Buster and Laura King did exhaustive research on the perfect hotel room for you. Independently. We think. As a result the Hilton Garden Inn at The Summit has reserved a block of rooms for us at a discount. Please contact them at the number below for more information or reservations.

We want this to be a very special weekend for you. If you have any special needs or requests please let us know. Both venues will carry any beverage you might want or cater to your special dietary needs.

The cost of the weekend is $75 per person. This includes the venues, the food, non-alcoholic beverages, and the music. Cash bars will be set up both nights stocked with your beverage of choice. The Louisville Stoneware mugs are $25 each.

All of the teachers have been invited. The only thing missing is you. Click the “Download your Ticket Order Form” button above and print the form. Then simply fill it out and mail it in. Oh yes, one more thing. Tell all of your classmates that you have done so via phone, Facebook, email, snail mail or smoke signals. Invite them to join you. Let them know so that they may be as excited as we are that you are coming!
